Opening on the 4th September 2008 with more than 125,000 visitors, Highcross Leicester is the major western extension to The Shires Shopping Centre which opened in 1991. With major department stores, House of Fraser, John Lewis and Debenhams, a Cinema de Lux, 120 shops and 15 Restaurants, Highcross is the largest shopping centre in the East Midlands.
Our Contribution
Contracted to Hammersons, 10 Squared worked with brand managers Saatchi Saatchi X to ensure technical delivery of the aesthetic design. Based around 32” interactive touch screens the key element of design was to ensure that all the units were identical and true to the original vision for the product despite the need to ruggedise 2 of the 10 way finding information points for outdoor 24 / 7/ 365 use.
The information points were also fitted with card readers and printers to enable their use as part of a gift card system.
